I don’t know what it is about tiktok these days but the algorithm seems to think that everyone needs a German Shorthaired Pointer. They are fantastic animals! Such lovers! Velcro dogs! Best camping buddy! Bro have you ever actually had a GSP puppy? They are actual crack heads. Vocal troublemakers. Need 4 hours of sleep PER DAY and can run up to 60 miles. PER DAY. I know this because I made the mistake of bringing home a GSP. Like, I LOVE HER, but, she’s just a *bit* much, you know? And then while my back was turned she got herself knocked up by her boyfriend, a standard poodle. I told her to use protection but she didn’t listen. 8 puppies later, I have seen her absolutely exhausted for the first time in her life. HA! I bet she wishes she’d practiced abstinence now! 8 weeks have come and gone. Now I’ve got one pup left who needs a good home, and not to brag, but he’s like, WAY better than a GSP. Still tenacious and playful, eager to please, and has that bird drive. But take it down about 5 notches. In fact, he is a lot like his dad, the calmest poodle you’ll ever meet. The pointer intensity level didn’t pass on to this pup. You know what that means? You can actually take this dog camping without him getting the pointer jitters. He won’t need to run from one end of the valley to the other in order to be tuckered out. You can probably take him hunting, but he’ll be ok just chillin at home too. Instead of being a crack head, he’s just like an occasional adderall user (like when you only take it when you actually have to focus that day). In all honesty we call this guy Astro Glide because he was the first born and tried to come out feet first. I had to assist. I’ll take “places I never thought I’d have to stick my hand for $400”….🤮 But little Astro is my favorite pup of the whole litter. I was tempted to keep him for myself. My husband said no. 💔 He is a LOVER, but can also be playful. He looks like a solid black pointer but has a little bit of wiry hair on his face and ears. He won’t require the grooming of a doodle/poodle. He is smart! He is house trained already (well like, 98% house trained) and if you take him outside & say “go potty!” He goes potty! (That must be the poodle in him.) His tail is docked and his dew claws are removed. He’s been dewormed and had his first round of shots. He has been introduced to pheasant, quail, and duck and has shown interest. How often do you find CL puppy ads from people who put the kind of love and care into a puppy like this?? Not to toot my own horn but I am never doing this puppy thing again 😂 Oh wait - I meant to say, I haven’t slept in 8 weeks. No that’s not right. I have worked day and night to make sure these puppies are well adjusted and crate trained and potty trained and ready for their new home! We are asking a rehoming fee of $400. Proceeds will go towards making sure my pointer and her boyfriend never procreate again because I already have 4 kids and groceries ain’t cheap.
