Job Description: A Driver Helper is responsible for assisting Drivers with making product deliveries to our customers as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of their trucks. Helpers do not drive the trucks. Responsibilities for this department may include, but are not limited to, the following: •Familiarizing oneself with all available products •Assisting Drivers with loading and unloading product from trucks •Assisting Drivers with making deliveries •Moving rolling carts weighing up to 250 pounds •Lifting bags of product weighing up to 50 pounds •Climbing up and down from the back of delivery trucks Qualifications: •There are no special certifications needed and prior experience is not required (but is helpful). •Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record •The current starting rate of pay is $12.50 hourly, with raises over time •Hours are Full-Time (up to 40 hours) Monday-Friday, with possible Overtime and occasional Saturday work Benefits: •After 30 days of employment, all employees are able to join the local union and are eligible for all available paid holidays and annual raises •After 60 days employees are eligible for Health, Dental, and Life insurance at no cost (except for copays for doctor visits and prescriptions) •After 1 year of employment, employees are eligible for paid Sick, Personal, and Vacation days About us: Arway Linen is a family owned and operated linen business in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, we have been serving bars, restaurants, country clubs, retirement homes, and caterers in the tri-state area for over 40 years.
