Description

The assistant driller will assist in mobilization/demobilization of drill rig and support truck, as directed. Will assist the driller/ operator in daily field/yard operations of Rig. i.e. handling drill pipe, mixing drill mud, removing samples and use of other equipment. Load Trucks and trailers with needed tools and supplies as indicated by the driller/ operator Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures.Support and encourage continuous improvement of the company's processes, including safety program and quality management system. Assist in the mobilization of drilling rigs for jobs as directed.Load drilling supplies – augers, pipe, etc. Assist driller/ operator in the operation of rig by handling drill pipe, mixing drill mud and handling casing and other equipment. Drive equipment to and from job location.Familiar with and follow DOT. Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company safety rules and procedures. Continuous Housekeeping and final clean up of job siteAssist in the cleaning of equipment after each job as directed Clean equipment yard and perform other duties as assigned. Work in varying weather conditions. Must pass background check and be able to pass drug test, to include a hair follicle. Some travel required
