Helper, Geek Squad Home Delivery (DOT-HUB Cadet)-857141BR DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Home Delivery Helper is responsible for the delivery, installation, and haul away of appliances and televisions. They determine the best way to install major appliances, including measuring and protecting areas in the installation route, deciding if any doors in home need to be detached, and moving fixtures to protect the client's home and purchased products.At Best Buy, we create work environments where every employee feels like they truly belong and contribute to our shared purpose. Every team member should feel empowered to deliver a world-class and unique experience based on what each customer needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDrives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.Assists the Home Delivery Driver with client deliveries including product set-ups and haul awayMay act as a lead including driving a company Department of Transportation (DOT) vehicle.Assists the Home Delivery Driver in determining best way to drop off products including deciding if any doors need to be detached in the delivery path.Assists the Home Delivery Driver in moving products safely into the home, unboxing, and setting them up. Ensures products are functioning properly.Completes all paperwork and obtains client signatures for proof of delivery.Manages inventory and vehicle maintenance according to established vehicle standards.Basic QualificationsCurrent, valid driver's licenseHave and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)Ability to consistently lift up to 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team with the use of support tools such as a harness, dolly, and liftBe at least 21 years of ageAcquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hireMeet all DOT requirements including DOT physical, substance screening, and road testPreferred QualificationsExperience actively using and learning about technology productsExperience in sales, delivery, installation, or repairCustomer service experience
