Greenwise Organic Lawn Care is a full service organic lawn care and landscape company with two locations, one in Chicago and one in Evanston. This position is for the Chicago location at 1900 W Hubbard Street. Call / text 847-636-0706 with interest. The role is laborer for landscape crew. This is a seasonal role. Hours are from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. You can expect between 40-50 hours of work per week. Saturdays are generally days off, but you may be asked to work Saturdays if there a rain day during the week. Services include: -Mowing - Garden care - Small plantings and other projects - Organic turf care services (fertilization, etc.) You’ll be responsible for: - Cutting turf, trimming and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment - Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches - Planting and maintaining flower beds, and applying mulch - Picking up trash and debris - Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe - Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers You might be a good fit if: - You're at least 18 years old - You’re enthusiastic and dependable - You're able to lift 75 lbs - You’re able to safely work with landscape equipment like line trimmers, blowers, sod cutters and power saws - Landscapers who will be operating a fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
