Harvest Week Drive Supports Holiday Needs For Community Pantry

WOODRIDGE, IL — Harvest Week is underway throughout Woodridge and Naperville through Friday. Harvest Week is being celebrated across the area this week to collect new unwrapped toys and holiday foods for neighbors in need who are supported by West Suburban Community Pantry, according to a news release sent to Patch. West Suburban Community Pantry serves over 500 families each week from Naperville, Lisle, Woodridge, Bolingbrook, Westmont, Willowbrook and Romeoville. According to the news release, the need for several items, including the following, is especially critical during the coronavirus pandemic which the pantry said has caused their demand to nearly triple in recent months. Items needed include: New unwrapped toys (ages 0-12)New unwrapped books (ages 0-12)Turkeys or hamsBoxed potatoes and stuffing mixCanned gravy and cranberry saucePumpkin pie or other dessert mixes 6809 Hobson Valley Dr. Unit 118, Woodridge.
