This is an opportunity for not just a job, but also a career. Come grow with us! POSITION TITLE: Service Technician POSITION SUMMARY: The Service Technician maintains equipment in all divisions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: -Provides equipment service as required with a knowledge of: -Using a multimeter to do electrical diagnostics -Basic electrical and relay logic -Mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing mechanical devices with motors and belts -Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs units while in the field -Maintain records of service calls -Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety measures -Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and maintained -Work together as a team -Regular attendance at work -Other tasks as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS: Required: -High School diploma, GED or equivalent -Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record -As a condition of employment, ACT will conduct a background check and drug screen -Must have clear and effective oral and written communication skills and shall demonstrate a good command of written and spoken English to properly communicate information critical to the success of the company -Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements Preferred: -Experience with electromechanical equipment repairs -AC service technicians and a manufacturing equipment service background provides similar service knowledge to this field -Access control and CCTV service experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment and is subject to weather extremes (heat, cold, sun, wind, rain, or if applicable in your geographic area, snow). Duties may require digging for long periods of time. Occasional need to drive a vehicle to other work locations.
