Here is what you need to know: The callers or the one’s who answer the 1-877-PA Health phone line are third-party employees and are not health department employees and are not healthcare professionals but will answer your call or open with “Thank you for calling the Pennsylvania Department of Health”. In short, the 1 877 PA Health is a scam like operation. The Pennsylvania State Department of Health received a large amount of money from the Federal Government and then they hired a third-party vendor by the name of “The Public Consulting Group” who is full of common, everyday people who read a script and use resources from the Center for Disease control website. That’s it, plain and simple. By far and wide most of the employees who work for, and answer/take coronavirus calls have little to no education and are not healthcare professionals and lack medical credentials, they have been “trained” to read a script and enter the information you provide into Salesforce. The minimum qualification someone needs to be hired for the position is a high school diploma, at least 18 and a United States citizen. The information provided to you from the people who work at The Public Consulting Group is not ground-breaking news. Anyone may find the information on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (C.D.C.P) website. When the need arose for contact tracing The Pennsylvania Department of Health contracted with InSight Global. InSight Global personnel allowed personal protected information to be exposed on the web. You may recall hearing or reading about it on the news. Search “InSight Global data breach” for more information. The information contained within the leak were: names, addresses, personal health information, dates of birth, names of family members and names of children as well as many more details. The Public Consulting Group (P.G.C.) rehired many of the former InSight Global employees. Let that sink in for just a moment. Most of the current P.G.C. employees are unqualified political hires who lack any type of medical training or professional credentials. Again, they are not healthcare professionals as they would have you believe. Folks these are your tax dollars at work!
