Looking for keyboard player for established band Avenue 16 (https://www.facebook.com/AvenueSixteen/). We are 40 somethings with a vibrant, energetic feel and sound. We have been together since 2009 and will probably play together until we are in wheelchairs. We play 80s to today pop, rock, hip hop, danceable music. Our primary sound comes from the lead guitarist and strong rhythm section. We have a female and a male lead vocalist with the added secret weapon of our hip hop artist CL to get the crowd going with retro hip hop as well as verses in many of the 'newer' songs. We had a keyboardist years ago who really added a lot, but haven't really looked since... a versatile keyboardist who can play some piano based tunes along with synth voices of 80s rock, fill some hip hop sounds and anything in between would be awesome! All gigs pay. We practice generally in spurts leading up to gigs, so as long as you know your music, things go very smoothly. Many of our gigs are in the Lehigh Valley PA for outside festivals (Easton and Bethlehem mainly) or in Central or Northern NJ. We are also trying to book a gig or two at the Jersey Shore as well. There is no contribution needed for any practices or equipment replacements (sound system) as we have reserve funds that pay for that. Come join the team!
