Boston's Chocolate History: a lecture, demonstration and tasting
While people everywhere love chocolate, the Boston area has a particulaly rich history with chocolate, having been home to some of the most important chocolate companies in American history.
Join us for an exploration of this history with Dr. Carla Martin, Director of the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute and students of the BU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts programs. Students will discuss Boston-area chocolate recipes they researched and re-created. Those who can attend in person will be able to taste some of these experiments for themselves.
The event is supported by a grant from the American Heritage Chocolate Foundation, which provided all of the chocolate used in our research.
