Free event empowering dads to be advocates for their children at the education table and beyond. Join the African American Male Wellness Agency, in partnership with members of the Franklin County Fatherhood Coalition, as we promote active fatherhood in Central Ohio. We know that systems sometimes forget about fathers at the education table, and we know that dads don't always feel equipped to step to the table. This event is about empowering dads to be advocates. Because they ARE the forgotten expert when it comes to raising their children. We will have a workshop, hosted in part by Advocates for Educational Equity and Excellence, coaching dads on how to show up for their kids at the educational table, especially when their child has an IEP. Connect with other fathers, build your parenting toolkit and learn about all of the organizations in Central Ohio working to support dads.
