FREEHOLD – The Sears at Freehold Raceway Mall will close. The store was the last one at the Jersey Shore. The owners of Sears and Kmart, Transformco, has announced that the store will close by mid-February. "After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears store in Freehold, New Jersey," the company said on Wednesday. A liquidation sale begins this week, the company said. "We encourage customers to continue shopping on sears.com for all their product needs," the company said.
