International Women's Month: Jill Sestoso:"I will be discussing the transition and the struggles of women in the outdoors, such as gender bias and sexism. The dominance has been middle class men for quite some time and probably due in part to what females were exposed to at a young age and what the industry attracts. I'd like to highlight the increase in women’s integration, the recognition of women as major players in the outdoor scene and of course my personal experiences. As well as suggested outlets for women to head out into nature, to feel inspired, to empower and encourage each other."
