Discover the skills and tactics of the American Colonial Rangers! Before the Revolution, the American colonies were drawn into a war between the European powers. The American Colonial Rangers pioneered a new way of fighting in the woods and forests that differed from traditional battlefields and changed how armies fought forever. Campers ages 8-13 will use the historic terrain of Newport News Park to learn about the skills and experiences of the Colonial Rangers, particularly the legendary Roger’s Rangers. Camp runs daily from 9am to 4pm, and before and after camp care is available for a small fee. This program is hosted by the staff of Historic Endview, Lee Hall Mansion, Lee Hall Depot, and Virginia War Museum.
