Why read about history when you can experience it first-hand? Kids ages 8-13 will discover history, science, and more--in our own backyard! Explore history through a scientific lens with hands-on activities, games, and technology used in the past. Kids ages 8-13 will learn about orienteering, signaling, fortifications, waterwheels, baseball, bridges, telegraphs, and more! Camp will be held for part of the week at Newport News Park and part of the week at the historic Lee Hall Depot. This program is hosted by the staff of Historic Endview, Lee Hall Mansion, Lee Hall Depot, and Virginia War Museum. Camp runs daily from 9am to 4pm, and before and after camp care is available for a small fee. Please visit https://newportnewshistory.org/summer-camps/ for full camp information.
