Fundraiser Benefiting Family Safety Center
2022 Camp Hope
On Thursday, April 21, 2022 our team is hosting our 1st ever “A VOICE FOR HOPE”
Tulsa’s Family Safety Center hosts a summer adventure for children who otherwise would never have a chance to create these types of fond memories. CAMP HOPE Oklahoma is unique because they serve children ages 7-16 who have been emotionally or physically harmed by family violence, child abuse, sexual assault, or stalking. For one-week during the summer they get to experience the normalcy of childhood while being cared for by trained staff and volunteers who know how to help children in trauma. The mission of CAMP HOPE is to give these kids their childhood back for a week and then help them and their families find a pathway to HOPE after camp is over.
Our team is hosting our 1st ever “A VOICE FOR HOPE” Movie Showing and Fundraiser at the historic Circle Cinema. This important time together will be informative and interactive. Guests will view the documentary “Sin by Silence” followed by an Expert Panel to increase awareness on the impact of domestic violence on children. The reason for choosing this film is our Event Chair, Heather’s mom, Glenda Sue Crosley, is featured in it (and on the cover). It’s a true story about women in a California prison because of violence against their domestic abusers.
We know this is a tough topic but much like summer camp, guests will have fun making new friends at our pre-movie mixer, bidding on auction items, enjoying drinks & food, and learning more about Family Safety Center, Camp Hope, and other event partners in the lobby of the beautiful Circle Cinema.
