Description
WalkArlington presents Walking Palooza. Take a walk in our shoes with your pup for a fun walk with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. Join WalkArlington and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington for an afternoon walk with your dog from their headquarters to the Shirlington Dog Park. Along the way, AWLA staff and volunteers will share details about AWLA’s work to care for animals in Arlington and provide information on how you can get involved. Participants are welcome to bring their dogs, but we also welcome dog-lovers who don’t have a dog but who like to be around them. What To Know Multiple dogs will be in attendance, so please only bring dogs comfortable in a group. Dogs are required to be on a leash and we kindly ask that you refrain from the use of retractable leashes. Don't forget to bring some tasty treats along for your pup. Getting There Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s headquarters is accessible via several Metrobus and ART bus routes. Visit wmata.com for trip planning information. If your dog is in a carrier, he/she is welcome to ride Metrobus, although dogs are not permitted on the ART bus.
