A family-friendly Pride event at The Garden, featuring local LGBTQ+ makers & allies, crafting for kids, and local foodtrucks. Join us at The Garden this June for a day celebrating pride! This family friendly event at The Garden ALX will feature 15 local LGBTQ+ makers and allies set up throughout The Garden with locally crafted goods available for sale. Enjoy local food trucks (including snow cones!), live music, and kids crafting available throughout the event. The event will be both inside the event space, the state-of-the-art workshop and outside on the patio. Grab the family, pop on your pride gear, and join us on June 26th, from 12-5 pm, for Growing Pride at The Garden! Event organized by Athena and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to Safe Space NOVA. The Garden: The Garden ALX is a unique event venue and community space located in the West End of Alexandria, next to the Van Dorn Metro Station. It is our top priority to provide a community space through our work as well as a premier training and event space! Athena Rapid Response Innovation Lab: Originally founded in 2016 as “TechGarden” in Alexandria, VA, the organization has grown to encompass a broad range of services. They are proud to serve both the local community and communities in need around the planet. Safe Space NOVA: Safe Space NOVA is dedicated to providing a safe, accepting, and supportive environment to combat social stigmas, bullying, and other challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth.
