State Aid For Freehold Boro Schools Increases For 2020-21 Year

FREEHOLD, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy released his revised state aid figures last week, leaving Freehold Boro schools with about $666,200 more than they had last year. For the upcoming 2020-21 school year, Freehold Boro public schools will receive $15.9 million from the state, up 4.4 percent from the $15.2 million it received last year. The grand total will include $407,350 in transportation aid, $739,721 in security aid and $1.4 million in special education aid. The first day for Freehold Boro schools is Sept. 8 and the district is still on track to begin under an all-remote reopening plan.
