State Aid For Freehold Twp Schools Increases For 2020-21 Year

FREEHOLD, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy released his revised state aid figures last week, leaving Freehold Township public schools with about $23,000 more than they did last year. For the upcoming 2020-21 school year, Freehold Township public schools will receive over $4.6 million from the state, up .5 percent from the roughly $4.5 million received in 2019. This year's grand total will include $709,345 in transportation aid, $93,758 in security aid and over $2.7 million in special education aid. The first day for Freehold Township schools is Sept. 8, and the district is still on track to reopen virtually for the first two weeks. Starting Sept. 21, students who opted into the hybrid learning model will begin in-person instruction on alternating days.
