Learn Euchre while Raising Money for Ukraine Adults 18+ are invited to join Into Leaf for our first drop-in Game Night! This month the instructional focus is on EUCHRE, a fun and easy-to-learn card game that's all the rage in the Midwest. Bring a partner or be paired up in class—and don’t forget to BYOB because we’ll have themed snacks on hand from the Euchre Belt (hotdish anyone?). Come early to learn from instructor Will Browne, then stay for supervised play. And if you’re already familiar with Euchre, drop in anytime! Interested in playing a different game? Bring your own and join us, we’ll have a table waiting for you. Euchre instruction starts at 7 and open play begins at 7:45. Where: Hudson Valley Writers Center, 300 Riverside Drive, Sleepy Hollow, NY. Free parking is widely available, or take the train—it drops you off right there! Who: All levels 18+ are welcome. Space is limited to 28 players. Cost: $25 per person. All profits go to the Emergency Response Fund at Razom, a 501(c)(3) helping Ukrainians in need. About the Instructor: Tarrytown resident Will Browne grew up in Minnesota in a game-playing family and has been playing euchre since childhood. He was surprised upon moving to New York that not many people know Euchre (and those who do invariably are fellow transplants or learned it from a Midwesterner). His goal is to introduce the game to new players so they can spread Euchre love throughout the Rivertowns.
