Are you a family caregiver experiencing burnout? Join us for a support group to learn how to manage burnout and create needed change!
Shore Medical Center and its Center for Family Caregivers are pleased to offer a new monthly, one-hour support program, "Caring Together, Living Well", covering a wide range of topics to help you learn and connect with others facing similar struggles. Topics change each month, and sessions will be led by social workers and other local experts.
Sessions are held at Shore Medical Center's Center for Family Caregivers, located in the main hospital, adjacent to the lobby. Guests are asked to wear masks, present a photo ID at the main desk upon arrival, and sit 6-feet apart while in the group. Advanced registration is preferred for space restrictions.
Our April topic is "Managing Caregiver Burnout"
Are you a family caregiver and feeling fatigued, overwhelmed or emotionally drained? Come join us to learn about caregiver burnout signs/symptoms, how to manage symptoms, identify supports and create needed change. This session will be led by Compassionate Care Hospice Social Worker Norine Earl, LSW and Alice Caivano, Compassionate Care Liaison, who will discuss resources, techniques and offer interventions to support caregiver self-care goals.
