He will introduce us to evidence-based interventions that can be used in the wake of a crisis, or other critical incidents to reduce distress. Participants will learn: -The basics of what is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). -CID (Critical Incident Desensitization) and A-TIP (Acute Traumatic Incident Processing) approaches and how to use them. George believes that we have the answers to our own problems and situations and his role is to assist one in discovering the purpose of the behavior that may be causing pain in one’s life. In a nonjudgmental way, George approaches each presenting problem with a holistic perspective and enjoys assisting clients to explore solutions that will address those problems. George is guided by several approaches during assessment and therapy that include: Play Therapy (depending on the age), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Ego State Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. George is an Approved Consultant with EMDR, where he provides training and consultation to other clinicians learning EMDR and those seeking certification, and beyond. He is highly requested for mentoring, coaching, training and consultation throughout the United States and enjoys seeing other clinicians succeed.
