Diamond Structures, Inc. Has immediate positions available in Bellingham, WA. We are looking for both Carpenters and Labors for a long term project. We are a commercial concrete company based in the Seattle area and have a project in Bellingham. Please reach out to us to apply! Concrete Carpenter Job Description: Concrete Carpenters wanted for long term commercial project in Bellingham, WA. You need to be knowledgeable with structural concrete formwork with an emphasis on cast in place structures. You will be working outdoors in the elements in variety of weather conditions. Ability to walk over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday. You would need to have the ability to work overtime as required including extended work days and/or Saturdays as necessary. Qualifications: • Concrete forming: 3 years (Required) • Carpentry: 5 years (Preferred) Requirements: • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in concrete formwork. • Ability to read interpret, and work from basic blueprints & specifications. • Must be authorized to work in the US. • Must be equipped with basic concrete carpentry tools and tool belt. • Must have at least (2-3) verifiable work references that can verify your recent concrete carpentry experience. • Extensive working knowledge of power tools such as, circular saws, hammers, roto- hammers, nails, and bolts. • You will need to have the ability to walk over uneven or slippery surfaces, be able climb stairs or ladders. • Physically you will need to be able to work in many different positions which include, but are not limited to, standing, kneeling, squatting, sitting and walking. • You will need to be able to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50-80lbs. You should possess and have experience in the following: • Stripping formwork • Pack and stack materials • Pour concrete • Operate a powered concrete vibrator • Act as assistant to Carpenters • Remove nails from, form work • Clean up work areas • Sweep • Take out the trash Individual must be hard working and dependable. Most importantly be a team player with a great "get it done" attitude! Must have dependable transportation to jobsites. Applicant must be able to lift 75 to 80lbs and be in good physical condition. You must have the ability to tolerate heights with no fear. Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess the appropriate documentation to work legally in the U.S. Must be able to pass periodic drug tests during employment. Pay: DOE.
