We own (and partially occupy) a prominent 2-story commercial building in downtown Bellingham.
We are seeking a high-quality custodian, cleaning and maintenance person for our building, as well as our company office space (@3,000SF, 4 People). "We" are a privately-owned commercial real estate investment company as well as a philanthropic organization engaged in promoting bioregional restoration of ecosystems and natural animal populations.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
Monitor, Maintain and Operate Building Security Systems
(24/7 Video and Intrusion Detection Systems)
Clean/Maintain Half-Block of Storefront, Sidewalk and Landscaping Areas in Front of Building
(8am and 4pm daily)
Clean and Maintain 3,000SF Professional Office Space
(Dust, Vacuum, Trash/Recycle, Kitchen, Bathrooms)
Light Repairs & Maintenance Throughout and Around Building
(e.g. touch-up paint, light bulb replacement, whatever else needs doing-fixing-cleaning-repair-maintenance)
Organizing, Maintaining and Utilizing Tools and Cleaning Equipment
Cleaning, Detailing and Maintenance of Two Company Vehicles (1 Tesla and 1 Pickup Truck)
Opening and closing building spaces for vendors, prospective tenants, etc.
Miscellaneous Property-related Errands, Tasks, Other
Essential Qualities (at all times):
- live in (or very near) downtown Bellingham
- valid driver's license, reliable transportation
- reliably trustworthy and ethical
- consistently complete tasks in a timely high-quality manner
- professional appearance
- courteous demeanor
- quality communication skills (in person and via digital communications)
- physically fit, healthy, strong, capable of lifting moderately heavy objects from time to time
