Hike with us & explore Fort Worth Prairie habitat at U.S. Army Corps of Engineer property at Benbrook Lake.
Join us on this trip to a prime example of the Fort Worth Prairie. This prairie ecosystem is vanishing under rapid development pressure in Tarrant and surrounding counties. Luckily, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers protects upland Fort Worth Prairie overlooking the shoreline of Benbrook Lake. Native wildflowers should be starting to bloom by mid April.
Meet at 9am at the 2nd (southern) gravel parking lot. Bring sturdy, comfortable shoes or boots for a walk around a good example of a Fort Worth Prairie remnant.
*Reservations are required through Eventbrite . Suggested donation of $5.00 or any amount you wish to donate to assist NPAT with future programming & outreach events (plus EventBrite processing fee). Questions, please email Jeff Quayle [email protected] or [email protected]
