HOW CAMERAS WORK is an introductory workshop hosted by ENTRE.
Throughout this workshop, attendees will be introduced to the fundamental concepts and basic technical properties of cameras, learning how they apply to both film and digital cameras, and finally, be given an opportunity to put these skills to use in the field.
The workshop is 4 hours long and will take place in two blocks. Each block will last 2 hours, separated by a 1-hour lunch break.
****BRING A CAMERA****
Given that this is our first workshop, we do not yet have the resources to provide cameras for attendees to learn on. With this in mind, we encourage attendees to bring cameras of their own to practice with! This includes smart phones! You'd be surprised how far smart phone camera technology has come!
****IMPORTANT PARKING & TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION****
Part of this workshop will involve going out into the community to practice shooting with a camera. If you do not have a personal mode of transportation, take this workshop with a friend who does! Parking for this workshop will be available along and around the McAllen Creative Incubator building.
