WRI & Heralogie have teamed up to celebrate menstruators with a day of self care and health education. Women’s Relief Initiative (WRI) is a global nonprofit working towards reducing global period poverty by providing access to menstrual hygiene products and education surrounding menstruation. In hopes of serving and supporting a larger population of women in the Austin community, WRI in partnership with Heralogie, an Austin based sustainable underwear brand, will host its first annual Period Party event on April 16, 2022. The purpose of this event is to provide a space for women and menstruators to come together, learn, be provided resources, and have open conversations about menstruation. All proceeds from this event will go towards Girls Menarche Initiative, a nonprofit based in Uganda that strives to provide period supplies to those in need. **** Event location is at Dear Diary Coffeehouse: 1212 Chicon St #103, Austin, TX 78702. Please bring a tampon or pad to donate to local period poverty relief efforts. Due to limited capacity in light of COVID, please register to attend via Google Form Here.**** Parking is free.
