On March 7, Jessica L, a freshman at East High School, was a victim of a drive-by shooting - this event will raise funds for her recovery. We are calling on our fitness community to join us Saturday, April 2, at 8:30am to show support for Jessica L, a freshman at East High School who was a victim of a drive-by shooting a couple weeks ago. We will hold 3 short workouts at 3 different Downtown Des Moines gyms with a ruck/walk/run/drive (totally up to each participant) between each workout. Heats will run every 12 minutes. The event will occur as follows: First Location: Start at Max Oxygen CrossFit (1901 Bell Ave, #7, Des Moines)Second Location: Once finished with the first mini WOD, participants will proceed to Black Collar CrossFit (417 SW 8th Street, Des Moines - approximately 1.7 miles)Final Location: Once finished with the second mini WOD, participants will proceed to CrossFit 8035 (1241 Keosauqua Way, Des Moines - approximately 1.2 miles)As participants finish at 8035 we encourage everybody to hang out while other come in for the final workout, cheer them on, and enjoy some snacks and beverages as a community gathering - THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO SHOW UP FOR OUR IMMEDIATE DES MOINES COMMUNITY AND KIDS!*Please note transportation from the final location is the responsibility of the participant - transportation will NOT be provided (but we imagine others will be willing to carpool if you arrange a car to get dropped off at 8035, ride together to the start, then have a ride ready when you finish).
