FEATURED ENTERTAINMENT: BASSIST BERNARD HARRIS Bassist Bernard Harris is a Raleigh native who now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his lovely wife, vocalist Jai Rose. Bernard is an internationally known performer and recording artist. He spent several years working as music director for Gospel Artist Mandisa. Just when you think you've heard it all in music, along comes Bernard Harris, a gifted artist who delivers an entirely unique performance concept as a LEAD bass guitarist. In the ’70s and '80s, “plucked bass” specialists like Larry Graham and The Brothers Johnson proved that a rhythm musician could lead with a bass. Now Bernard has advanced the creative envelope – he makes the Piccolo Bass come alive with performances covering jazz, rhythm & blues, soul, and gospel music.
