West Marion Community Forum, Inc. invites you to our McDowell Reconnect Event on Wednesday, April 20th! Between 2pm-6pm, join us as we showcase the amazing new Foothills Food Hub and reconnect with local entities across McDowell. This will be set up as a drop in event with presentations and tours offered at multiple times throughout the afternoon, as well as tasty hors d’ oeuvres! We look forward to exploring or revisiting partnerships throughout the community. Over the course of the pandemic, our county has grown and shifted in so many ways. Let’s explore strengthening bonds throughout our warm network of community partners or introducing new leaders and organizations looking to create opportunity within our foothills. Meet the folks working to make McDowell County an equitable and sustainable place to live. This is a continuous event, with ongoing presentations occurring throughout the day. Currently, the itinerary is as follows: 1. Formal Presentations for West Marion and Partners at 3pm and 5pm 2. Foothills Food Hub Building tours at 2:15-2:45 and 4:15-4:45p. We will also offer a drawing to win West Marion Community Forum Tshirts, Foothills Food Hub shirts, and exclusive 'Best of McDowell' gifts (McDowell Local Businesses Gift Basket, NC Farmers CSA Share) celebrating all our county has to offer.
