The Ocean State’s Strongest Man 6 (Strongman Corp. membership REQUIRED of all competitors, and will be available at the show) Promoter: Corey Benton Contact Info: [email protected] Date/Time Saturday July 23, 2022 , 10::00 am Location: The Top Strength Project 404 Walcott St. Pawtucket RI 02860 $10 spectator fee Weigh ins: Friday 5-7pm, Saturday 8-9:15 at The Top Strength Project Rules/start time: Rules will be at 9:30, start time 10:00 Entry fee: $80… NO REFUNDS Divisions: Women Novice <140 and 140+ Open <125.4, 125.5-140.4, 140.5-160.4, 160.5-180.4, 180.5+ Men Novice <231.4 and 231.5 Open <175.4, 175.5-200.4, 200.5-231.4, 231.5-265.4, 265+ Events: Log/Circus DB alternating clean and Press for reps Axle Squat for reps Sandbag/Sandbag/Keg over bar medley Farmer Carry max distance in 60 seconds Atlas Stone load for reps Awards: If there is only 1 athlete in a class, they will get combined with another class or just get a regionals bid (we will leave combining of classes up to the promoter). If there are 2-5 athletes a class: 1st place - Nationals and Regionals (2023) invites 2nd - Regionals (2023) 3rd - Regionals (2023) If there are 6+ athletes in a class: 1st - Nationals and Regionals (2023) 2nd - Nationals and Regionals (2023) 3rd - Regionals (2023) 4th - Regionals (2023) Events: 1) Log/Circus DB alternating clean and press: Athlete will clean and press implement overhead. Once given the down command, athlete will move to other implement and clean/press overhead. Continue to alternate b/t log and dumbbell for 60 seconds. Athlete can choose which implement to start with. 60 second time Completed press is arms/arm locked out, feet together, head through, wait for down command. Must maintain control of log/DB on the way down. Any press technique OK. Cannot rest log/Dumbbell on head. Offhand cannot be touching DB while pressing. 10” log for women, 12” log for men. 8” DB for women, 10” DB for novice men, 12” DB for open men. Once both sides have touched box, athlete will complete rep. If only one side touches the box the rep will not count. 60 second time limit. Belt, sleeves ok. NO SUITS. Knee wraps ARE allowed. Box height will be determined at weigh-ins. Pick up sandbag , run down to yoke and load it over cross bar. Run back and repeat for other sandbag and keg. Crossbar height for men 48”, crossbar height for women 42”. 60 second time limit. Women: <140.4 Novice: 150/150/150 140.5+ Novice: 175/175/175 <125.4: 150/150/150 125.5-140.4: 150/150/150 140.5-160.4: 175/175/175 160.5-180.4: 175/175/175 180.5+: 200/200/200 Men: <231.4 NOVICE: 200/200/200 231.5+ NOVICE: 250/250/250 <175.4:200/200/200 175.5-200.4: 200/200/200 200.5-231.4 :250/250/250 231.5-265.4: 250/250/250 265.5+: 300/300/300 4) Max Distance Farmer Carry: Athlete brings implements 35 ft and drops ENTIRE implement behind line. Re-pick and bring back. After each 35 ft length athlete will drop entire implement behind line and re-pick the other way. Multiple drops in between line allowed. 60 second time limit to walk as far as possible. Hands rested on bar until time begins. Bar height for men 50”, bar heigh for women 44”. No grabbing crossbar to push stone over. Tacky OK…BRING YOUR OWN TACKY CLEANUP MATERIALS.
