Manabu Takasawa, coordinator Community Piano Event: URI Piano-thon Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 4 pm Open to anyone who enjoys playing the piano. Each performer will have the opportunity to play one of our Steinway D grand pianos in a friendly environment. Memorization of the music is not required. It is a free event, and the concert is open to the public. You are invited to participate if: – You like to play the piano. – You would like to perform on stage and share your talent with others. A certificate will be presented to each pianist. Repertoire: Any musical genre is encouraged. Piano duet or ensemble music with other instruments is possible provided there is no special setup necessary. There is no minimum length, but please limit your performance time to be less than 10 minutes. If you have specific repertoire questions, please email [email protected]. How to Apply: – "Purchase " a Register to Perform ticket - Complete the required information Please register by Friday, March 26, 2022. Visitors/Faculty/Students of the University of Rhode Island are required to wear a mask while attending events or performing in our building. This is current URI policy and we are unable to make exceptions to this rule. We are operating at a reduced seating capacity. Please purchase your tickets in advance to expedite the time spent waiting in our lobby.
