Volunteer with the Preservation Detroit tour program! Learn about the program, various volunteer opportunities, and meet current volunteers! 2022 Preservation Detroit Tour Season Kickoff and Volunteer Recruitment MeetingLearn how YOU can be a part of our team!We are looking for VIPs (Volunteers in Preservation!) to be a part of our tour program. And if being a tour guide at first seems daunting, no worries! We also need shepherds to help with other tasks such as moving the tour along, keeping the group together, and interacting with tour attendees. Join us on Saturday April 9 at 10am – 12pm where we will tell you all about the program, the different volunteer opportunities, and meet current volunteers who will no doubt tell you they've been with us for YEARS and love volunteering with us. This year’s meeting will be held at the MSU Detroit Center, located at 3408 Woodward Ave., Detroit 48201, just two blocks south of Mack Ave. at the corner of Erskine St. Parking is available (free and metered) along nearby side streets and at the SOMA parking garage at 81 Erskine for a flat rate of $10. Please note – for the protection of our attendees and MSU staff, Preservation Detroit will strictly follow the current COVID requirements as set from the CDC, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Michigan State University for this meeting. Light refreshments will be served. Keeping COVID considerations in mind, we will provide bottled water, wrapped granola bars, and other goodies. Feel free to bring your own coffee or beverage and snack. There will be some surprises too! Please RSVP here by April 4.
