FARMINGDALE, NY — Cousin's Barber Shop celebrated its grand opening in Farmingdale with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday afternoon. The shop, at 356 Main St., is owned by Joseph Adams and Sandro Espinal. It was originally in Massapequa before they decided to move the business into downtown Farmingdale, said Joe Garcia, president of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce. The business has been open for more than 5 years. Adams and Espinal both said they are very happy to be in Farmingdale. "The neighbors are awesome," Espinal told Patch. "Everybody's been very supportive. I have a lot of support from the Chamber of Commerce and everybody else. I feel very welcome." Adams said the business has gotten a lot of support. "We've got a lot of new clientele coming in, and they leave happy," he said. "That's what I want. I want everybody to be happy." "Two partners is always cool, deciding to start your own thing together," Garcia said. "Doing it in your hometown here, and you're right down the block. We really thank you for making Main Street better. We hope Main Street is good to you. But most of all, lots of luck, congratulations, and thank you."
