The City of Central is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker. The ideal candidate should have a High School diploma or GED and one year of experience as a construction laborer. The candidate should possess a valid Class B Colorado Driver’s License or be capable of obtaining one within three months of the date of hire. The position is required to perform a wide variety of unskilled and semi-skilled work in maintenance, construction and repair of the City’s infrastructure and facilities including but not limited to highways, roads, bridges, streets, curbs, sidewalks, buildings and other city-owned properties; operates trucks and light equipment incidental to the work. The City provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance coverage. 100% of the employee’s premiums are paid by the City and approximately 97% of dependent premiums are paid by the City. Paid vacation and sick leave, 401(a) and 457b employer retirement contributions. 15 paid holidays annually. City paid long term disability and Life Insurance.
