MANASSAS, VA — Authorities are investigating racist graffiti in Manassas, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Officers saw two swastikas spray painted onto sound barriers on Friday morning. The swastikas were located on two separate sound barriers near Prince William Parkway and Cloverhill Drive. Authorities said that drivers could see the graffiti from Prince William Parkway. In a report, the police department also said that numbers were spray painted onto the sound barriers. Authorities did not specify what the numbers were. The drawings did not appear to contain any specific threat, according to the police report. Officials notified the Virginia Department of Transportation, which will be responsible for removing the graffiti. This is the second time that the police department has found swastikas in Manassas this year. On Feb. 2, the police department reported a spray-painted swastika on an overpass near Prince William Parkway and Lucasville Road. The police department has not announced any arrests or charges in connection with the vandalism incidents.
