Description
We have to find a new home for an amazing and sweet dog. This fella showed up at our place about a year and a half ago. He was full grown when he first found us, so he is probably 3.5-4 years old.
We call him “Boone”, but I doubt that is his original name. He is great with other dogs (and he has met plenty of them), but probably not the best with smaller pets due to his hunting instincts. He will tree raccoons, and especially loves going after burrowing things! Boone is a very sweet tempered fella and is happy to laze about the garage or porch after he has had some good exercise.
He needs an owner who has time to interact with him, exercise his long legs, and keep up with his adventurous personality. Generally, he has been very good with our kids, but he is a big dog (95lbs of lean muscle) and can knock over a smaller child without being malicious about it. He does well overnighting in a crate, is accustomed to a larger kennel, and most highly prefers a soft bed near his people. He is not house trained, but he responds well to the “beep” of an electric collar for commands like “come”.
If you can give this good boy a home, please contact me. We are sad to see him go, but we can’t keep up with him at this phase in life. Call or Text Sarah at
