FORT LEE, NJ — Police arrested a naked man with a knife who was running on Route 4 Sunday morning, authorities announced. Kelton L. McCrink-Goode, 51, of Morris Plains was charged with lewdness, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and a disorderly persons offense, said Capt. Ricky Mirkovic. Officer Carlos Cabrera responded to the Holiday Inn on a report of naked man, McCrink-Goode, complaining of pain, Mirkovic said. Cabrera found McCrink-Goode running in the right lane of Route 4 East, the captain said. Cabrera blocked the right lane, and found McCrink-Goode holding a folding pocket knife in the right hand, acting in an irate and irrational manner, Mirkovic said. Cabrera displayed his Taser and ordered McCrink-Goode to stop and drop the knife, which he did, the captain said. Officer Zachary Joseph got there and arrested McCrink-Goode. While arresting him, McCrink-Goode resisted, but police were able to place him in handcuffs, Mirkovic said. Police spoke with McCrink-Goode and believed he was under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, Mirkovic said. He was taken to New Bridge Medical Center for an evaluation then turned over to the Bergen County Sheriff's Department. He remained in their custody as of press time. Email: [email protected]
