$1.2M In Church Thefts Get Man Lengthy Prison Sentence

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - The former administrator at Westminster Presbyterian Church was sentenced to 10-to-20 years in prison and ordered to repay $1.2 million he admitted stealing from the church between 2011 and 2018. David Reiter, 51, pleaded guilty in October to theft, receiving stolen property,forgery, access device fraud, tampering with records and unlawful use of a computer. He was sentenced by Allegheny County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Manning. The stolen money was spent on items such as vacations, pet supplies, sporting goods, baseball and concert tickets, musical instrument rentals, gasoline, car washes, Starbucks purchases, medical expenses and Sirius XM Radio. Reither's wife, Connie Reiter, 44, is awaiting trial on two felony charges of receiving stolen property.
