Doctor At Hoboken's Hospital Arrested On Cocaine, Ecstasy Charges

HOBOKEN, NJ — A doctor at Hoboken University Medical Center, as well as a man with whom she shares a residence, were charged with several drug-related crimes on Friday including intent to distribute cocaine and intent to distribute ecstasy, prosecutors said. Elizabeth Johnson, 38, and Serge Corporan, 31, who share a Hoboken residence, have been charged with possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute (ecstasy) within 1,000 feet of a school, and several other charges, according to Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. Corporan was also charged with four counts of distribution (cocaine). Prosecutors executed a search warrant on Friday and found more than $15,000 worth of drugs at their residence, they say, including 17 grams of cocaine and 60 ecstasy pills. During an investigation, Corporan sold more than 150 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer in February and March, said prosecutors. Corporan was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility and released after a court appearance Saturday. Johnson was released on a summons and will appear in court April 1.
