Press release from the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce: March 17, 2022 Charleston Animal Society recently announced a unique social media partnership with World's Best Cat Litter to "Give a Crap" for homeless animals. The Animal Society's Celebrity Paws in the Park fun run and festival takes place Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston, SC from 9 am to 5 pm. The free family event, presented by Crew's Subaru, features the world-famous Dock Dog® diving competitions and agility and obedience demonstrations by the Charleston Dog Training Club. To make sure that cats are part of the excitement, World's Best Cat Litter has stepped up to donate $5 to Charleston Animal Society for every picture of a pet cat in his or her home litter box that is posted to a family's personal Facebook page or Instagram account with the hashtag #GiveACrap until the donation totals $5,000. "Finding families for homeless cats is a large part of the work of Charleston Animal Society," said Joe Elmore, CFRE, CAWA, President and CEO of the organization.
