Major Downtown Pittsburgh Intersection Closes, Prompts Detours

PITTSBURGH, PA — A key Downtown intersection has closed for a month. The complete replacement of the crosswalks and intersection of Wood Street and Sixth Avenue will disrupt a number of bus routes, the Port Authority of Allegheny County announced. Sixth Avenue is closed entirely from Liberty Avenue to Smithfield Street (Grant Street for buses) and Wood is closed from Oliver Avenue to Liberty Avenue.
