Culver City Crossroads
March 21, 2022
Understanding the history of the Cold War has never been more timely or more urgent, and the Wende Museum's online focus 'In Search of Truth' is an easily accessible conversation that brings in expertise, wisdom and candid conversation.
With Vladimir Putin's war raging in Ukraine, the next session of the In Search of Truth series is dedicated to "Truth and War." Our student council invites John Pomfret, author of From Warsaw with Love: Polish Spies, the CIA, and the Forging of an Unlikely Alliance (2021), and correspondent for the Washington Post, for which he covered wars in Bosnia, Congo, Sri Lanka, Iraq and Afghanistan. The students will speak with him about the assault on truth in wartime, and the (real, twisted and fake) stories that frame the narratives of wars and conflicts.
Wednesday, March 23, 4 p.m. PST: Truth and War
45 minutes discussion, followed by 15 minutes Q&A.
