Day-Of Event Team Member This is an as-needed, hourly position. Compensation: $13-$20/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Job Description • Assist with on-site event execution including but not limited to: • Unloading/loading event supplies; • Setting up equipment such as tables, chairs, signage, and décor; • Greeting, directing, and assisting guests throughout the event; Each event is a little different – that’s what makes this job fun and interesting! As event staff you will have a specific event call time and will be assigned tasks to help with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events. This is a great job for someone who wants to make extra money, enjoys people, and likes to do lots of different types of tasks. In this role you may be tasked with anything from setting up tables and chairs according to a floor plan, to lighting candles, to directing guests to event location(s). The ideal candidate (is): • Proactive; • Able to tolerate work related stress effectively and maintain self-control and professionalism at all times; Requirements: • Must demonstrate teamwork skills and a willingness to help others; • Previous customer service experience and an interest in or knowledge of event design & production; • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs; • Thoroughness & efficiency; • Able to prioritize tasks and work for periods without direction; • A great attitude; • Ability to get oneself to/from SRS Events office in downtown Portland, and to event locations throughout Maine; • Ability to show proof of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2.
