Send Rover Over pet salon is looking for a grooming apprentice. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for an exciting new career! In about a years time you could be earning a really good wage working with dogs. Interested candidates must be willing to put in a small amount of time (1-2 hours a week) outside of work watching videos and studying in the beginning. This could be the career for you if you love dogs and are not afraid of hard work. This is an extremely rewarding field, but does have a non glamorous side. Candidates must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes. The bathing and drying process is a wet, hairy and loud undertaking. On occasion groomers need to deal with feces in the coat, fleas and ticks to name a few, There is also a fair amount of cleaning that goes along with the job. The position starts at $14.00 an hour, but will go up as you learn and by a years time you could be making well over $20 an hour. Keep in mind that you are getting paid while learning, grooming schools cost thousands of dollars and still require apprenticing.
