A local transportation company is currently interviewing for the position of fleet attendant. We are in search of a Mon-Fri shift 7AM-2PM. As fleet attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our fleet and parking lot, while also performing regular maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, fueling vehicles, etc... Responsibilities: The Fleet Attendant is responsible for the care and maintenance of the vehicles and the parking lot. This includes vacuuming and prepping the cars. Shuttling vehicles to dealerships for servicing, car transports to and from offices, checking fluid levels, and changing tires. Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by operating washing equipment. Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body, by hand. Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicle interior (some stain removal may be required). Determine need for and add windshield fluid, gas, oil, water and antifreeze. Perform basic maintenance check: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle. Verify appropriate stickers are attached to vehicle (registration, plates, etc.). May be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies Hours and Wages: Starting pay is $14/hr. CANDIDATE MUST BE AVAILABLE 7AM-2PM MON-FRI. Overtime may be available at certain times. DO NOT APPLY IF THESE HOURS CANNOT BE MET. Pre Employment Requirements: *Must be 18 years of age or older(Although not required, preferred applicants are to be acceptable for our auto insurance policy.) * Must be eligible for our auto insurance policy * High school diploma or equivalent * Prior detailing experience or knowledge preferred * Physical ability to move in and out of vehicles * Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs * Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions * Must be willing to work various shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays * Valid driver's license w/ clean driving history (must be approved by our insurance to be eligible for hire) * Willing to complete pre-employment testing, drug screen and background check * Must be authorized to work in the United States
