The Mower Store has two full-time opportunities to join our team as an Outdoor Power Equipment Salesperson. This is a Commission-Based Sales Role with essentially unlimited earning potential. We are located at 134 Koehler Road in Martinsville, VA, right behind Sportlanes. The person we are looking for will have the following characteristics/skills: A positive and winning attitude Professional sales experience is definitely a plus. Ability to prioritize customers and maintain composure during busy times. The ability to connect with customers in a professional and friendly manner. A driven and motivated attitude to help people find and purchase the right equipment. Basic knowledge of mowers, blowers, trimmers, saws, lawn care, landscaping, tools, etc. Skills, ability, and willingness to perform basic assembly of handheld power equipment, arrange the showroom, and maintain a pristine showroom: Place stickers and price tags on equipment. Keep equipment and displays wiped down. Sweep, vacuum, and even take trash out as-needed. Keep our customer hospitality area stocked with drinks and snacks. Experience, knowledge, and willingness to give customers basic tutorials on power equipment and help customers load mowers and other power equipment on their trucks and trailers. Teachable and able to follow directions from our managers. Willingness to go the extra mile for both customers and their team. Willingness to do whatever it takes to get customers in the door and sell equipment. Pay is based on experience and performance. Our store hours are 8:00am-5:30pm Mon-Fri and Saturday 9-1. The hours for this position will be 40+ hours each week and will fit within the store hours, but we’re slightly flexible on the exact schedule. Saturdays will be needed especially in the busy season.
