Job Summary Join Our Field Team • New York Democratic campaign is seeking campaign organizers/ballot access team members for its campaign, who will circulate petitions and collect signatures of registered New York voters to place the candidate’s name on the Democratic primary ballot. • Get your start on Democratic Campaigns. Responsibilities: Circulating petitions and collecting signatures at high traffic areas across an assigned region as well as door to door canvassing • Performing required reporting tasks in a timely and accurate manner • Regular and reliable submission of collected materials • Swearing of petition affidavits attesting to the validity of the signatures collected Qualifications: 0-2 years of campaign or other political experience and a working knowledge of community organizing principles is desired but not required. Applicants with a friendly and outgoing demeanor and who will not be afraid of making an ask of strangers are encouraged to apply. Preferred Experience/Skills • Experience interacting with the public • Proven ability to meet assigned goals in a given period of time • A track record of working independently while meeting the goals assigned • An honest and trustworthy reputation • Familiarity with the electoral process • Ability to plan, prioritize and problem solve in rapidly changing environment • New York Democratic voter Registration is a must. • Additional Information: • Part-time, limited term position • Up to $25 to $30 per hour with and up to 30 hours per week up to $750 to $900 per week • Flexible hours • Evening and weekend availability Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
