New to Portland, looking to start a project. I'm a M in my late 40's. I have a career and family obligations. I also have good gear, a basement to play in, and a desire to make interesting music and release it. Playing live would be fun too, unless it's a Tuesday night at the local bar to a bunch of regulars, then why bother. I am also not going to jump in the back of a van and tour for no money. I have more influences than I can possibly list, and I am open to lots of directions. My vision at the moment is a mix between Portishead, Massive Attack, and Arab Strap. Think indie guitar, meets electronic drumbeats and soundscapes pulled together by a female vocalist with character and a driving baseline. Unique vocal styles welcome. Thanks for looking!
